ABOUT THE PRODUCER

This Rwandan coffee is produced at Musasa Mbilima, a washing station located at 2,020 meters above sea level. Coffee produced at this elevation is incredibly rare, which may explain the distinctive note of cranberries that really shines through with each sip. The coffee cherries are hand-picked when ripened and processed through the fully-washed method. They are pulped on the same evening before undergoing a 12-hour fermentation overnight. The beans are then removed from the wet fermentation tanks and placed onto the drying tables. With the highest harvesting and processing quality, it is of no surprise that Rwanda – Musasa Dukunde Kawa Mbilima was awarded with Cup of Excellence 2010-2015. To balance out the tartness, we roasted the beans a little longer to create a coffee that is full of fruity flavors with a rounded caramel finish.
